Grandville Avenue Girls Choir

The Grandville Avenue Girls Choir is designed for girls in grades three through five who attend Southwest Community Campus School, Hall School, and Buchanan School. Emphasis is placed on vocal music in a positive atmosphere.

Objectives include:

• Correct posture and breathing techniques
• Use of diction
• Correct vowel formation
• Production of tone and head voice

Literature is drawn from Hispanic folk songs, African American spirituals, and secular music. Girls are encouraged to strive for their personal best.

The rehearsal schedule is as follows:

Southwest Community Campus School - Mondays, 4pm to 5pm
Buchanan School - Tuesdays, 3:15pm to 4:15pm
Hall School - Thursdays, 3:15pm to 4pm
