TUITION & FEES

Membership in the Girls Choral Academy is a commitment for the academic school year.  Tuition is split into eight (8) monthly installments paid from September through April (even though rehearsals and events take place from August to May). For convenience, annual and semester payment plans are also available. Payment can be made via debit card or credit card on the website each month.

• JUNIOR ACADEMY 2 CHOIR - $70/month

• CONCERT CHOIR - $70/month

• SENIOR ACADEMY - $70/month

We believe that the transformative power of song should be accessible to any girl who wants to pursue it with GCA.  That's why all of our after-school programs are offered free to those in the Neighborhood program, and with nominal tuition for all others. We are hopeful that we will be able to offer an even more convenient sliding scale program to all students next year!

TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The goal of our Tuition Assistance Program is to meet the stated financial needs of our families. We have successfully met 99% of our members’ stated financial needs since 2022, and are proud that no girl has been turned away due to inability to pay.  We are committed to expanding our resources to continue making the GCA choirs as accessible as possible.

While the Neighborhood Choirs are tuition-free due to the generosity of a local donor in the Grandville Neighborhood,  participation in the  The Downtown Choirs program is tuition-based.  That being said, the GCA is always available to work with the Downtown Choir families and will never turn a family away experiencing financial hardship.

Contact GCA to request a Financial Hardship Tuition Reduction Application. Complete & return your application online or to the Choir Director on or before the 1st rehearsal of the semester.  Please note that attendance is crucial to GCA's program and student attendendance is reviewed monthly for all students. Scholarship recipients missing 50% or more of their weekly rehearsals may have scholarship funds withdrawn and/or lose eligibility to perform in concerts and participate in tours and trips at the end of the academic school year.

Parents wishing to take advantage of a 10% discount by paying in advance for Fall Semester, may select the rates below: 
 

FALL SEMESTER TUITION for JAI Choir -  $209

FALL SEMESTER TUITION JA2 & Concert Choirs - $252

SPRING SEMESTER TUITION for JA1 -  $261

SPRING SEMESTER TUITION for JA2+Concert Choir -$315

To receive this 10% discount,  payments for the semester in full must be received on or before your student's first rehearsal of the semester in order to receive discount.   Checks can be mailed to Girls Choral Academy, 2920 Fuller Avenue NE Suite 104, Grand Rapids MI 49505 or by paying online above or on the "Donate" page.

MULTIPLE SINGERS DISCOUNT $25

​For families paying tuition for more than one singer, the singer with the more expensive tuition is full price, but each additional enrolled singer thereafter is $25 per month.

PARENT VOLUNTEER DISCOUNT 10%

​Each GCA choir benefits from the presence of a Choir Parent during rehearsals and at concerts backstage. The Choir Parent's role is crucial and very much appreciated by all staff!  They support their daughter's Choir Director by assisting with the girls during rehearsals,  passing out forms and permission slips, walking a young child to the restroom, occasionally calling a parent if a child is ill, etc.  Parent volunteers who attend rehearsals and assist at concerts receive a 10% monthly discount from their tuition each month.
