Behind The Scenes At The Grand Rapids Gold Game

Earlier this season, a group of Girls Choral Academy singers had the exciting opportunity to be part of a Grand Rapids Gold game: opening the evening with a performance of the National Anthem.

Stepping onto the court, our singers delivered the Anthem with strong, confident voices, rising to the moment as the buzz of the arena filled the space around them. It was a proud, goosebump-worthy experience that showed our girls just how powerful their voices can be!

But some of the best moments of the night happened before the spotlight ever turned on. Backstage, the girls warmed up together, played games, shared lots of laughs, and made new friendships. That behind-the-scenes time was full of connection and encouragement—and helped everyone feel relaxed, supported, and ready to shine.

This experience was about more than a performance. It was about community, confidence, and trying something new together. We’re so proud of our singers for representing Girls Choral Academy with joy and heart, and grateful to the Grand Rapids Gold for giving them such a fun and unforgettable opportunity.
