Stand With Us at Fund MI Arts & Culture Day

At Girls Choral Academy, we believe that the arts are not just entertainment, they are the heartbeat of our communities. They inspire creativity, foster connection, and ensure that Michigan remains a place where families want to live, work, and thrive.

The Michigan House has proposed a budget that eliminates all funding for the Michigan Arts and Culture Council (MACC). This puts thousands of jobs, community programs, and our state’s cultural future at risk. That's why we're proud to support Fund MI Arts and Culture Day, happening Tuesday September 16, 2025 at the Michigan Capitol in Lansing. This gathering is an opportunity for artists, musicians, performers, and community leaders from across the state to come together and show the true impact of arts and culture on our lives.

At this event you'll hear powerful stories, experience live performances, and connect with others who are passionate about keeping the arts alive in Michigan. Fund MI Arts. Fund MI Culture. Fund Our Future.

Here's how you can help make a difference:

  • Attend in person at the capitol (9:00am-3:00pm), drop in when you can!

  • Reach out to your representatives and remind them that investing in the arts is an investment in Michigan's future.

  • Support financially, either through Cultural Advocacy Network of Michigan or by donating directly to organizations like Girls Choral Academy.

Let's come together to ensure that the arts in Michigan don't just survive, they thrive!
