A Wonderful Evening at our 2025 Fall Benefit!

On Tuesday, November 11, Girls Choral Academy hosted its annual Giving Girls A Voice Benefit, and what a truly special evening it was! With an incredible turnout and an atmosphere filled with joy, gratitude, and community spirit, the night was a beautiful celebration of nearly 29 years of empowering young singers in West Michigan. We couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful way to honor our mission and the people who make it possible.

Honoring Our Community

We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s event—our sponsors, parents, volunteers, supporters, and friends. Your generosity, encouragement, and enthusiasm create the foundation that allows Girls Choral Academy to thrive year after year.

A special thank you goes to our surprise masked performers, whose beautiful voices and playful presence added magic and fun to the evening. Their performances reminded us of the joy and creativity that music brings into our lives.

A Showcase of Talent and Leadership

Our GCA choirs delivered show-stopping performances that had the audience smiling, swaying, and applauding from start to finish. Each piece was a testament to the talent, leadership, and dedication our singers bring to the stage, and to the hard work they put in throughout the year.

At Girls Choral Academy, we are intentional about instilling leadership skills, teamwork, and self-confidence in every student. This year’s Benefit offered many of our singers the opportunity to shine not only in song, but also in roles such as greeting guests, introducing performances, and presenting awards. Seeing their confidence and pride was one of the highlights of the night.

Honoring Max and Jan Gibbs

One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was our recognition of Max Gibbs and Jan Gibbs (posthumously) for their extraordinary commitment to Girls Choral Academy and the broader West Michigan community. Their legacy of generosity, service, and steadfast belief in uplifting young people continues to inspire our work. The heartfelt tributes shared throughout the night honored their impact and celebrated the countless lives they touched.

Looking Ahead With Excitement

As we reflect on this year’s Giving Girls A Voice Benefit, our hearts are full. Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us, volunteered, performed, or cheered from afar. Your continued commitment helps us empower girls to grow in confidence, leadership, creativity, and the joy of music.

And we’re already looking forward to next year! We have some wickedly exciting ideas in the works to make the 2026 Benefit Gala even bigger and more memorable, including new performances, interactive experiences, and opportunities for our guests to engage even more directly with our singers and mission.
